The PVA-3000 PhyView Analyzer is designed to bridge the coverage gap between comprehensive Ethernet twisted-pair PHY-compliance testing and rudimentary link verification and packet-flow testing. The PVA-3000 introduces a multiport capability dedicated to 10/100/1000BaseT physical-layer characterization under controlled impairments including line loss, ingress noise, jittered or offset timing, and even Power-over-Ethernet. The PVA-3000 tests Ethernet switches and routers, discrete LAN interfaces, link-transmission components, and network-service integrity at any DTE interface. With metrologies such as power-spectral distortion, residual SNR, bulk return loss and crosstalk, and link monitors, the PVA-3000 presents an efficient and cost-effective alternative for qualifying and characterizing 10/100/1000BaseT interfaces, providing wide-scale visibilities into performance. Engineers can use the instrument to evaluate design components, ensure system quality, troubleshoot failures, and assess link performance.

The SSB17 is a 3-17 Gb/s Stressed Serial BERT System. Unique features include: compact size saving bench space for multi-channel applications; price point is about half of other models enabling applications like production test; and remote mountable error detector and pattern generator heads eliminating loss from excess cable length. The system is designed for users characterizing optical transceivers, communication chips with serial I/O ports, and system design such as line cards and data switches. It features PRBS and common telecom/datacom test patterns, and fully programmable user-defined patterns. The SSB17 has an integrated clock source with calibrated stress capability and provides a single tone of SJ. The optional model (SSB17J) includes multi-tone SJ and RJ stress. The signal fidelity in the eye is outstanding, owing to the use of Centellax designed and built output amplifiers. The SSB17 enables users to test multi-channel applications at about half the price of other models.
